第一： P‐Numbers are assigned to base metals dependent on characteristics such as composition, weldability, and mechanical properties, where this can logically be done；
第二：These Group Numbers classify the metals within P‐Numbers for the purpose of procedure qualification where toughness requirements are specified.

第三：The assignments do not imply that b as e metals maybe indiscriminately substituted for a base metal which was used in the qualification test without consideration of the compatibility from the standpoint of metallurgical properties, postweld heat treatment, design, mechanical properties, and service requirements. Where toughness is a consideration, it is presupposed that the base metals meet the specific requirements.
之前不理解的问题，看QW200.3 现在都能理解了

标准应该有规定，得好好学习标准，谁有总结分享一下

太复杂了，简单的说，就是P-Number是基体母材分类，而Group Number就是P-Number下面的一些要求冲击性能的材料的更细的分类，这样理解对吗？

谁知道么？我是这样理解的，不知道对不对

根据ASME IX的要求，根据这么多年的应用，对于碳钢，P-No. 适用于合金系的分组，Group-No.适用于力学性能的分组。Group No.只有要求冲击韧性的条件下适用。

P-Nos. and Group Nos. from BPV Code, Section IX, QW/QB-422.
P-No为类别号，对材料按照合金含量进行分类！
Group No是组别号，在P-No下又进行了分类。
和NB、ISO标准的分类方式都类似。
